he was born the same day the American Civil War started???
Daniel was born, lived and died within 3 miles his whole life, about where the Wyatt Baptist Church is west of El Dorado.
There is some speculation as to his middle name possibly being Holden. Daniel is listed in documents as both D. W. & D. H. Rogers. I have no idea where Holden comes from or if that indeed was part of his middle name. Death info and obit state Daniel Webster Rogers.
I have previously been listing two extra children (Lofton Thomas & Charles C.) and not listing one (Gladys). The correct names, number of children and dates updated and correct.

Daniel Webster Rogers
Funeral services for Daniel Webster Rogers, 71, who succumbed to an attack of influenza yesterday morning at 4 O'Clock at his home on Route One, will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 O'Clock at Page Cemetery, eight miles out on the Magnolia Highway. The Reverend M.F. Swilley, Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow with Rumph Mortuary in charge.
Mr Rogers was a life-time resident of Union County.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Viola Rogers; one daughter, Mrs. Lillie Smith of El Dorado; two sons, Littleton Rogers of El Dorado and Northen Rogers of Gilbert, LA; and six grandchildren.
