Frank Hammock, 90, of Powder Springs, Ga., formerly of Abanda, Ala., died Friday, April 3, 2009, at his home. Services were at Abanda Baptist Church at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 5, with interment in Concord Cemetery, Wadley. The Rev. Mickey Vaughn officiated. He is survived by his wife, Grace Sharp Hammock of Powder Springs; and two daughters, Sandra Bickford of Destin, Fla., and Beverly Murray of Powder Springs. Mr. Hammock was born Oct. 14, 1918, in Clacksville. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired farmer. He also operated a furniture store in Wadley and later moved it to Abanda.
