  He was a soldier in the Union army. He never returned to Alabama. Thought to have worked in a stone quarry in WV & died in a work accident. The enigma with George is it was said this branch of the Sharp family did not believe in slavery, but in the 1855 census he has 2 slaves, AND he fought for the Union Army. Many questions here!
