  Viola spent the majority of her life after her children were born in the Pineville Insane Asylum in Pineville, LA (became the Central Louisiana State Hospital), from about 1908 until her death in 1961.
  * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
  Apparently the death of some of her children at a young age contributed to her instability.
  Her mother was a morphine addict who died when Viola was young.
  Viola outlived everyone in her generation, all but 2 of her children and several of her grandchildren.

  After repeated correspondence with officials at the hospital and the state level, her patient records were destroyed. This is very sad, as much valuable information would have been gleaned from those records.
