Note: {geni:about_me} JOHNSON, Clayton G. Allegan, MI Formerly of Parchment Died Thursday, December 22, 2005 at the Allegan General Hospital. Mr. Johnson was born April 1, 1917 in Muskegon, MI, the son of George and Goldie (LaGesse) Johnson. He graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School and attended the University of Michigan. He lived in Parchment most of his life and owned Parchment Dry Cleaners for more than 20 years. He was an engineer for Eaton Corp for 25 years and was a member of the Allegan United Methodist Church and previously of the Parchment United Methodist Church. Surviving are 2 children, Sandra Paul of Florida and Stephen Johnson of Allegan; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 4 brothers, Clair and Olive Johnson of California, Ken and Leila Johnson of Pennsylvania, Milton and Trudy Johnson and Douglas and Jae Johnson, all of California; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, in 1987 and a daughter, Jane Horton, July 16, 2005. The services for Clayton and Jane will be held Tuesday at 3 ! p.m. at the Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Chapel, Kalamazoo. Pastor Joseph Spackman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart/Stroke Assoc.
