a. Note:   1884 show he used Boisvert. On the 1880 census he used Greenwood & his death certificate in 1916 reads Greenwood. The cause of death was senility. He was buried inRose Hill Cemetery in Emerson, Nebraska along with his wife Aurelie and other family members. The family story tells of Colice being 1/8 Indian. He worked asa farmer. Colice could not write, therefore he signed his name with an "X". Hereceived his naturalization papers on 8 May, 1884 in Clay County Kansas. The papers state that he came to the U.S. before he was 18 years of age from Canada.He died at the home of his daughter, Mary "Fanny" Peterson who lived at the corner of 4th and Santa Fe Streets in Leavenworth, Kansas.
Note:   Calixte was also known as Colice. He changed his name to Colice Greenwood & used the name while living in Illinois. He used the name Boisvert on his homesteadin Cloud County, Kansas from 1877 to 1885. His naturalization papers in
