Note: n Bridge Road a few miles northwest of Gainsville. The place was known as the Old Mooney Home Place. This site is now surrounded by the waters of Lake Sidney Lanier. The family cemetery was removed by the U. S. Corps of Engineers. Miss Jarrett recalled the names of the children of Benjamin and Hulda as follows: John, Warren, George, Lillie, Melissa, Florida, Atlanta, Mary, Dave, Ned, Nancy, Charles, and Judy. He was buried in Gainesville in Alta Vista Cemetery, Hall County, Georgia, USA. He was the son of David Green MCCLESKEY and Lucy BIRD. He married Martha Mahulda BOYD 18 Mar 1830 in Hall County, Georgia, USA. She was born 9 May 1813, and died 20 Jun 1898 in Gainesville, Hall County, Georgia, USA. She was buried in Gainesville in Alta Vista Cemetery, Hall County, Georgia, USA. Miss Jarrett said, "It is thought that Benjamin Green was shot and killed right after the Civil War." An article in the Avalanche-Journal of Lubbock, TX, dated March 16, 1971, says of a son of Warren B., "He was a son of a man who with his teenaged brother, witnessed the murder of his father by two carpetbaggers in Georgia, then trailed them to Texas where they overtook them near present-day Weatherford and settled the matter--briefly and unequivocally."
