Barton Letter from Irene Evans recounting family history re John Henry Barton. Hi there,I don't recall anything about any letters from Jacob Klutz. From what I understand his daughter, Eliza Adeline married John Henry Barton. They had three daughters,Kate, Granny Viola and Lula Dora. He was in the Civil war and did not return to "Addie".He ended up in Tyler, Texas and remarried and had a bunch of children. This was told to me by Betty Felder, Pete Dickens's daughter. Apparently he wrote her several letters, but her mother, Milly withheld them and admitted it on her death bed.I guess she was very bitter toward him for doing her daughter like that. She had gone through a rough time, loosing Jacob and never hearing from him again. She didn't know if he was alive or dead. Maybe she thought he just didn't want to come back like her son-in-law , John Henry. It all happened about the same time.
