a. Note:   Living in MD with sister Elizabeth Richter in 1860. Lived inHelvetia, Pa. Mrs. McLeavy, wife of General Manager John McLeavyof Helvetia mines, died at her home at Stanley on Saturday last.The cause of her death was muscular rheumatism with which shewas attacked on New Year's Day. Mr. and Mrs. McLeavy formerlyresided in PUnxsutawney and have many friends and acquaintanceshere. Mrs. McLeavy's maiden name was Charlotte Wagner, and shewas born in Salisbury, Somerset County, Pa.,about 49 years ago.In October 1869 she was married to John McLeavy, and she leavesto mourn her death, the husband, three daughters, Misses Mary,Nellie and Kate, and one son James. She was a member of theRoman Catholic Church and a devout christian. Interment tookplace at DuBois on Tuesday, and a number of friends fromPunxsutawney attended the funeral.
