a. Note:   chael (14) Margaret (11)Sarah (9) David (7) however wee brother John (4) was born in Dalry in Scotland. This would explain why Agnes was unable to read and write - in Scotland all children were sent to school at that time but is was not the same in Ireland so Agnes missed out on her education.
Note:   One last thing - David and Leah show up on the 1861 census living in Dalry - they are all listed as irish so Agnes by then a 13 year old mill factory worker was born in Ireland as were her siblings Mi
