From: Germany - embarked Bremen. Age: 22 years. Arrived Baltimore - Sept. 5, 1889." Abstracted in Application for Naturalization Records, Allen County, Indiana, December 16, 1844 - September 26, 1906 (Fort Wayne: Allen County (Indiana) Public Library, 1984). Daughter Anna Maria Frances Luebbenjans census record of 1930 in Los Angeles County, California, states the year of immigration was 1888.
