A resident of rural Hartford City, Rebecca “Becky” Quillen, 89, died at 7:04 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, at Blackford Community Hospital, Hartford City.
Born June 29, 1914 to Clinton and Gertrude Brunson Bookout, she married Paul E. Quillen Sept. 10, 1932 at Pennville. He survives.
A 1932 graduate of Poling High School, she was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Dunkirk.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Betty Jo Armstrong, Hartford City, and Mrs. Charles (Martha Pearl) Denney of Lead Hill, Ark.; two brothers James and Wendell Bookout, both of Hartford City; two sisters, Mrs. Tom (Joan) Duke, Montpelier, and Sue Brown, Marion; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.
Services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Glancy Funeral Homes, Walker Chapel, Montpelier. Officiating will be Pastor Randy Davis and burial will be in Twin Hill Cemetery, Pennville.
Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Bethel United Methodist Church.
