 COUNTY OF RANDOLPH
 On this thirty first day of October A.D. One Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty personally appeared before me a Justice of the Peace within and for the County and State aforesaid, Joseph Bookout aged Sixty three years a resident of Randolph County in the State of Indiana, who being duly sworn according to law, declares, that he is the identical Joseph Bookout who was a private in the company commanded by Captain Andrew Braden in the East Tennessee Regiment of Militia commanded by Col. (space)
 Bunch, in the War with Great Britain declared by the United States on the 18th day of June AD1812, that he was drafted (space) at Anderson County (space) on or about the 13th day of January A.D. 1814, for the term of Six Months and continued in actual service in said war the full term of four Months and continued in actual service in said war the full term of four months and more and was honorably discharged at Washington, East Tennessee on the fifteenth day of May 1814, or near there, (His
 original certificate of discharge having been lost or mislaid can not now be found) but the facts he believes can be established by reference to the muster rolls of said company.
 He makes this declaration for the purpose of obtaining the bounty land to which he may be entitled under the act granting bounty land to certain officers and soldiers who have been engaged in the Military
 Service of the United States passed September 28th, 1830.
