Listed as being from the province of Oldenburg, Germany. residence: Fort Wayne (Indiana). Single male at the age of 30 years old. Sailed on the ship "Bonn." The Bonn was built by Germania Werft, Kiel, Germany, 1895. 3,969 gross tons; 355 (bp) feet long; 43 feet wide. Steam triple expansion engine, single screw. Service speed 13 ? knots. 1,063 passengers (20 first class, 1,043 third class). Built for North German Lloyd, German flag, in 1895 and named Bonn. After the loss of Bernard's job to "a more educated man" at the Lutheran hospital running the boiler room, the Luebbenjans family moved into the Gotta house. Space was so tight that sisters Clara, Florence, and Agnes had to sleep in the same double bed.
