Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, at Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home, with burial in Lone Star Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 3 p.m.-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Gary Don Ward and Renae Ward of Paris; a daughter and son-in-law, Jeanna Kay and Sammy Ervin of Paris; son and daughter-in-law Dennis Edward Ward and Debbie Ward of Paris; son and daughter-in-law Kenneth Dale Ward and Katherine Ward of Paris; 10 grandchildren, Christi Ward, Sandy Ward, Cassie Mullens, Stephanie Ward, Melanie Melton, Kelly Dover, Paige Edward, Gary Scott Brakefield, Karla Benson and Dana Reeves; eight great-grandchildren, Amanda Dover, Cole Mullens, Kyle Mullens, Taylor Melton, Dylan Dover, Hunter Reeves, Collin Mullen and Charles Ward Melton; and a brother, Darvis Davison of Paris. Pallbearers will be Mitch Mullens, Chad Dover, Toby Melton, Chris Renfrow, Cody Ry Edwards.' THE PARIS NEWS, Monday, Sep. 17, 2001: 'Thelma Fern Davison Ward, born June 23, 1929, in Red River County, yet lifelong resident of Paris, passed away Friday, Sept. 14, 2001, after a battle with breast cancer. Thelma, also known as 'Granna,' has gone to join her mother and father, 'Memaw and Papa,' 10 brothers and sisters, and her husband, Charles Edward 'Buddy' Ward. She is survived by one brother, Darvis Davison of Paris, and a large loving family as follows: Son and daughter-in-law, Gary Don and Renae Ward, daughter and son-in-law, Jeanna Kay and Sammy Ervin, son and daughter-in-law, Dennis Edward and Debbie Ward, and youngest son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Dale and Katherine Ward. All reside and own businesses in Paris. Grandchildren surviving are Amanda Dover, Cole Mullens, Kyle Mullens, Taylor Melton, Dylan Dover, Hunter Reeves, Collin Mullens, and Chase Ward Melton. Great-grandchildren surviving are Amanda Dover, Cole Mullens, Kyle Mullens, Taylor Melton, Dylan Dover, Hunter Reeves, Collin Mullens, and Chase Ward Melton. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, at Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kerry Murdock officiating. Burial was in Lone Star Cemetery in Clarksville. Pallbearers were Mitch Mullens, Chad Dover, Toby Melton, Chris Renfrow, Cody Reeves, and Randy Edwards.'
