Note: rd on July 11, 2013, at the age of 76. Goebel was born in Delta County, Texas to Walter Gatlin McConnell and Minnie Ola Spradlin where he attended Cooper High School. He was a hard worker and mechanic for a radiator company that he owned and operated since 1968. Goebel was known to live life to the absolute fullest and took pride in building his own home. He enjoyed gardening, bailing hay, deer hunting in south Texas, and especially camping in the hill country. He also shared a great passion for racing cars at the Devil's Bowl.He loved spending time with family and his grandchildren.He was a very loving,giving compassionate dad and grandfather.He was a very active person all his life. Goebel was Pentecostal in faith and was a compassionate Pastor of Assembly of God Church in Dallas. He is survived by his loving wife Elaine Parker McConnell of 57 wonderful years of marriage, his daughters; Cindy Marshall and husband Terry of Crandall; and Shauna Davidson and husband James of Seven Points. Also survived by sons; Steven McConnell of Seven Points; and Christopher McConnell and wife Crystal of Wichita Falls; brothers; Lloyd "Cotton" McConnell, David McConnell,; 6 loving grandchildren; Joshua Marshall, and wife Melissa, Jacob Marshall, Ethan McConnell, Hannah Davidson, Caitlin McConnell; 2 great grandsons; Ayden and Jaxon Marshall. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers; Samuel "Bay" McConnell, Doyle Gatlin McConnell, and Utah George McConnell. Goebel will be missed and remembered by many forever.
