Note: Mary Kathleen Tilley (April 2, 1939 - July 27, 2011) Funeral services for Mary Kathleen Tilley, 72, of Castor, LA will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Bolyer officiating and Bro. James Nailes assisting. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery, Castor, LA. Visitation will be held from 6 P.M. until 9 P.M. on Friday, July 29, 2011.
Mrs. Tilley was born April 2, 1939 in Castor, LA and passed away July 27, 2011. Mrs. Tilley enjoyed life to its fullest extent. She not only was an avid reader, but also spent countless hours mastering the puzzle books. She enjoyed her arts and crafts, especially painting. She also had a passion for the outdoors which included her gardening and her fishing. Kathleen devoted her life to her family, which was of utmost importance to her. She was a very special wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Rose L. Reeves; infant sons, Layne and Wayne Tilley; one brother, Bobby James Reeves; and one sister, Christine Reeves Hadwin.
Mrs. Tilley is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ray Tilley of Castor, LA; five daughters, Karen Glover and husband, Jerry of Coushatta, LA, Jeanette Bamburg and husband, Frank of Castor, LA, Linda Tilley of Martin, LA, Necie Harris and husband, Terry of Castor, LA, and Kelli Tilley and Randall Cloud of Castor, LA; one sister, Margaret Ann Smith of Crossville, TN; ten grandchildren, Hayley, April, Buddy, James, Sadie, Kati, David Mack, Chris, Mandi, and Blake; fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers will be her nephews: Steve Hadwin, Billy Reeves, Mike Reeves, Wayne Layfield, Greg Layfield, David Layfield, Kenneth Ray Tilley, Lance Tilley, Ricky Gates, C.C. Spruill, Matthew Spruill, and David Spruill.
