Renee Johnson

Rhonda Renee Johnson, age 49, of Hot Springs, passed from this life on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Christus St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana. She was born on November 16, 1965 in Arkadelphia, the daughter of the late James and Shirley Loy Schee. Renee worked as a dog groomer and enjoyed collecting antiques. She attended Gurdon High School and Henderson State University. Renee was preceded in death by her sister, Zonnie Johnson, her grandmothers, Idel Loy and Mae Ezelle, her grandfather, Wilburn Loy and two uncles, James and Willie Loy.
Renee is survived by her husband, Eric Johnson of Hot Springs, two daughters, Erica (Daniel) Johnson of Hot Springs and Tasha (James) Childers of Bryson, TX, two sons, Jerry Gibson and Franklin Johnson, both of Hot Springs, her sister, Cherry Miller of Hot Springs, her aunt, Sherry (Ricky) Green of Gurdon and twelve grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia with Rusty Jones officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Garland County Humane Society or the Clark County Humane Society.
