  Beulah May Springfield, 91, of Turlock, and formerly of Lodi, died May 10 at a Modesto convalescent hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born Beulah Leamons on October 4, 1905 in Thornton, Texas.
 Mrs. Springfield was raised in Texas and married William H. Springfield in 1931. They lived in Tyler, Texas before moving to California and settling in Turlock in 1958.
 She moved to Clovis, New Mexico in 1975 and to Lodi in 1977. She returned to Turlock in 1983.
 Mrs. Springfield was a homemaker and a former member of the Liberty Hill Methodist Church in Tyler, Texas and the Kingswood United Methodist Church in Clovis, New Mexico.
 She was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church in Lodi and the First United Methodist Church inTurlock. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
 Mrs. Springfield is preceded in death by her husband, William Springfield in 1976; two brothers, Terry and A. L. Leamons; and a sister, Ada Williams.
 Mrs. Springfield is survived by two sisters, Idell Bradan of Livingston and Maggie Fitzgerald of Santa Cruz.
 A chapel service is 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery in Lodi with Pastor Mark Vale of First United Methodist Church in Turlock officiating. Committal is at Cherokee Memorial Park. Visitation is 2 to 8 p.m. today at the Lodi Funeral Home.
