Note: .M. Monday, September 24, 2012 at Tapp Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ricky Grffith officiating. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park with Danny Turner, Thomas Griffith, Keith Griffith, Stacey Pelton, Thomas Griffith, and Joseph Pelton serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Ray Wear and Curtis Wear of Dallas. A visitation will be held Monday two hours before at Tapp Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Roy Malvin Griffith passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler, TX. He was born in El Dorada, AR on June 14, 1943, the son of Malvin Griffith and Violet Jones Griffith. He married Bessie Pearl Adams in Paris, TX on July 30, 1970. He was part of the U.S. Army then later became a Heavy Equipment Operator and was a member of an Assembly of God Church. Survivors include wife, Bessie Griffith, of Sulphur Springs; sons, Charles Keith Griffith, of Dallas, Thomas Allen Griffith , of Petersburg IN, and step son, Danny Lee Turner of Blossom; daughters, Tammy Renee Griffith, of Dallas, Janet Lynn Schober, of Duncanville, and step-daughter, Norma Lynn Welch, of Blossom; brothers, Johnny Wayne Griffith, of Midlothian, and Ricky Griffith, of Comanche; sisters, Linda Trapp, of El Dorada, AR, Patricia Washington, of Mississippi, and Regina Simmons, of Diana; 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents; one son. Darrell Wayne Griffith; and grandson, Eric Stephens.
