Lawrence Keith Phipps, 89, of Lowell died December 14th, 2019 in Lowell, Ark. He was born June 1st, 1930 in Elkins, Ark., the son of Lawrence Riley Phipps and Daisy Harrelson. He worked as a tool & die maker for Danaher until he retired. Lawrence was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served his country with honor during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the local VFW.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Lois M. Phipps, his father and mother, his three brothers Norman Phipps, Calvin Phipps and Robert Phipps, his sister Inez Hutchinson, and two sons Keith Carl Phipps, and Lawrence Phipps Jr. Lawrence is survived by his brother Leslie Phipps of Springdale, AR, his daughter Delores and husband Willie Villines of Lowell, Ark.; two sons Wayne and wife June Phipps of Fayetteville, Ark. and Keith Eugene and wife Chrissy Phipps of Lowell, Ark.; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, December 19th, 2019 at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2019 at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Mt Salem Cemetery in Elkins, Ark.
