Note: rma Lee Huggins on July 23, 1948. Germa Lee passed away May 3, 1995. From 1934 to 1941 Al attended Central Grade schools in Abilene Texas. From 1941 to 1945 he attended Manual Arts High School in Los Angeles, Calif. In 1945, he attended Abilene Christian High School in Abilene, Texas, where he graduated. Al entered the Navy on Oct. 23, 1945 in Norman Okla., with an honorable discharge on Aug. 15, 1946. He then reenlisted in the Navy on Feb. 11, 1948 in Pearl Harbor. He transferred to San Diego on Feb. 10, 1951 with an honorable discharge on Jan. 18, 1957. Al entered the United States Air Force on Jan. 23, 1957 at Lackland AFB and retired from the military on April 30,1967 at 753rd Radar SQ in Sault Saint Marie, Mich. Al was a minister most of his life for many different congregations of the Church of Christ. Al gave his first sermon at the young age of 12. He devoted his life to God and to teaching others the way of God. Al was a minister during his 20 years with the military but not as a Chaplin. He had two sons; Terry Duty, of Brighton with wife Marie and sons Dan and Nickolas, and daughter Amanda of Illinois, andDavid Duty, of Livermore with wife Lauri, son Austin in school in Tempe Ariz., daughter Afton of Red Feather Lakes. A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. today at Meadowlark Church of Christ, 2810 Meadowlark Avenue. Mr. W. Donald Fike, Mr. Doug Hall and Mr. Jack Poland will officiate the service. A private interment will be at the Memorial Garden Cemetery in Colorado Springs. Archie DutyArchie L. Duty, 78, died Dec. 19. He served in the U.S. Navy and Air Force and was a minister most of his life, preaching his first sermon at age 12. He was a member of the Meadowlark church in Fort Collins, Colo. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Germa Lee.
