a. Note:   n at UTMB. Born April 29, 1925 in Conroe, TX, Mr. Craig had been a lifelong resident of the Galveston County area. He had been employed at Union Carbide as a tool/instrument technician for 30 plus years, attended Abundant Life Christian Center, enjoyed playing Dominos and Golfing, was a Golden Glove Fighter, member of Chaparral Club for 30 years and a member of the Masonic Lodge #1118 AF & AM in Texas City. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of nearly 42 years, Mary Margaret Craig; parents, Henry Carl and Mary Jane (Weatherford) Craig; 7 brothers and sisters. Survivors include his daughter, Janice Shay and husband, Patrick of Savannah Georgia; grandchildren, Kerry Shay, David Shay; nieces, Peggy Hyde and Pat Gindrup both of Conroe; dear friends, Doris Meador and Leola Cates both of Bacliff. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 2, 2007, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Brother O. J. Herring officiating. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery with Masonic Rites. Casketbearers will be Trace Gunther, Mike Matranga, Charlie Michael, Glen Scoggins, Patrick Shay and Art Summers.
