 John W. Leamons died suddenly Friday night in a veteran's hospital at McKinney, following injuries he received December 7 in an automobile accicdent near Angus in Navarro County. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10 o'clock at Ihe Riddle Funeral Chapel. He was an employee of Ihe Humble Pipeline Company here, and was a veteran of World War I.
 Mr. Leamons and a nephew had unhooked a trailer from an automobile, involved in a wreck last December, when a passing motorist rammed into the car they were working on, which in turn smashed into the trailer, severely injuring Mr. Leamons.
 He was rushed to a Corsicana hospital for treatment and later moved lo the McKinney hospital.
 Surviving Mr. Leamons are his wife, Mrs. Mary Ann Leamons, and a foster daughter, Mary Ann Corl, both of Mexia; two sisters, Mrs. Sudie Soule, Dallas; Miss Truda Hadley, Venice, La.; two brothers, Jimmy Leamons, Mexia, and Roy Leamons, Houston. THE MEXIA DAILY NEWS Monday,10 March, 1958
 Final Rites Held In Mexia Today For John Leamons
 Final rites were held at 10 a.m. today in Mexia for John Willie Leamons, 54, who died Friday in the Veterans Hospital in McKinney of injuries received in an automobile accident Dec. 7 in Navarro County.
 Services were held in the Riddell Chapel with the Rev.John Douglas, pastor of the North Side Baptist Church, officiating.
 Burial was in the Mexia City Cemetery with IOOF Mexia Lodge No. 48 in charge of graveside services.
 Mr. Leamons was born July1, 1903 in Thornton and had lived in or near Mexia most of his life. He had been employed by the Humble Pipe Line Company for 33 years.
 A veteran of World War II., he was a member of the American legion and the 100F Mexia Lodge No. 48. He was also a member of the Baptist church.
 Surviving Mr. Leamons are his wife, Mrs. Mary Ann Leamons, and a foster daughter, Mary Ann Corl, both of Mexia; two sisters, Mrs. Sudie Soule, Dallas; Miss Truda Hadley. Venice, La.; two brothers, Jimmy Leamons, Mexia, and Roy Leamons, Houston.
 Active pallbearers were F. O. Coffee, Ernest Gunn, George Flynt, R. A. McBay, Levi Thompson, William F. Collins Jr., G. N. Collinsworth and Lloyd Kerzee.
 Honorary pallbearers were F. W. Howard, L. L. Spencer, D. S. Floyd, D. E. Thompson, Leo L. Stephens and Douglas Cox.
 Mexia Man Badly Injured In Automobile Accident
  J. W. Leamons of Mexia was seriously injured about midnight Saturday in an accident just south of Corsicana. Also injured in the accident were Reba Faye and Patricia Ann Hadley and Mrs. Ruby Ellis, all of Kilgore. Mr. Leamons is reported to have a compound fractured right leg and dislocated left knee. He also suffered facial and head injuries and was reported to be semi-conscious in a Corsicana hospital. He is reported to be somewhat improved today. Reba Faye is reported to have suffered multiple injures and Patricia Ann, back injuries. Mrs. Ellis also received minor injuries.
 It was reported that the three women were not seriously Injured in the accident. . The Hadley girls are nieces of Mr. Leamons and were on their way to Kilgore when their automobile broke down. They called for Mr. Leamons to come after them. Mr. Leamons and an uninjured nephew had unhooked a trailer from the Hadley car when a passing motorist rammed into the Hadley car, which in turn smashed into the trailer, hitting Mr. Leamons. The woman driving the car
