Roy Leon Leamons Jr. A member of the HPROA, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013. Roy joined the Department October 6, 1969 as a member of Academy Class # 42. During his career, he was assigned to the Jail, Central Patrol and for his last twenty-five years on the Department, he was assigned to the Air Support Division. Officer Leamons retired from the Department, May 8, 2004. The body is entrusted with Smith Funeral Home, 128 East 5th Street, Flatonia, Texas 78941 (361)865-3311. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, November 22, 2013 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home. At the family request he was cremated. Roy lived to be 66 years, 10 months and 22 days old.
