Note: Claude Rodney "Mann" Williams A Mass of Christian Burial for Claude Rodney "Mann" Williams will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 21, 2014 Our Lady of Prompt Succor with Father Dan O'Connor officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria. The family requests that visitation be observed Thursday at Hixson Brothers, Alexandria from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will continue on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until shortly before time of service. A Christian Wake service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday at Hixson Brothers. Mr. Williams, 57, of Alexandria passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Rapides Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, Texas Pecan Growers Association and the Louisiana/Mississippi Pecan Growers Association. His hobby was taking his daughter to horse shows throughout the country. He loved his work as a pecan broker and owned his own business, Williams Pecan. The focus of his life was providing for his wife and daughter. He was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Pamela Mathews Williams; parents, Claude C. and Ethel M. Mitchell Williams; nephew, Ronald C. Toms, Jr.; and "Special Grandmother", Miriam Hayworth Taylor. Those left to grieve include his daughter, Morgan Williams; sisters, Norma W. Toms and husband, Ronnie, Janice Barton and husband, Allen; Molly, Mabel and Moses. Pallbearers will be Randall Loeffler, Richard Bonner, Vince Meadows, Peter DeKeyzer, Barry Branton and Allen Barton. Honorary pallbearers will be Joey Mathews and Carlos Anderson. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic School, for the establishment of a scholarship fund in memory of Pamela and Rodney Williams.
