Note: . John was born in Bank\'s County, Georgia. He served in the United States Army from 1951-1953. John is survived by his daughters, Cynthia Gordon (Carter) of Riverside, Wanda Walker Phillips (Curt) of Oroville and Martha Williams (Eric) of Riverside; son, John S. May II (Crysta) of Riverside; brothers, James A. May and Earl May, both of S.C.; sisters, Pauline Yokem of Wesminister and Wanda Smith of S.C.; 14 grandchildren 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral Fri., 3/26/10, 11:30 a.m. at Preston & Simons Mortuary with burial to follow at Olivewood Memorial Park.
