a. Note:   Arlene Kirkham Bowman SHREVEPORT, LA - Arlene Kirkham Bowman passed away Friday, August 17, 2007, at Christus Schumpert Health System after a lengthy illness. Services celebrating her life will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 20, 2007, at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Randy Riley, Senior Adult Minister at Trinity Heights Baptist Church. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Camp Ground Cemetery, Bienville, LA.
  Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
  Arlene was born May 9, 1935 in Bienville, LA. She was a Baptist. Arlene retired from Bell South Telephone Company after over 25 years of service. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and her family and friends will miss her dearly.
  Her parents, husband, Maurice G. Bowman, and brother, Richard Joe Kirkham, preceded Arlene in death. Survivors are her son, Daniel Bowman of Texarkana, TX; daughter, Barbara Carter of Blanchard, LA; sisters, Ollie Mae Lee of Vidalia, LA and Betty Culver of Blanchard, LA; brother, Leonard Kirkham, Jr. of Van, TX; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
  The family extends their sincere gratitude to the doctors and staff at Christus Schumpert Health System, Dubuis Hospital and NurseCare Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the professional and loving care shown to Arlene. You were truly our ANGELS on earth.
  Honoring Arlene, as pallbearers will be Shane and Wayne Culver, Paul Kirkham, John Davis, Albert Brasfield and Mark Ziegler.
