Note: James Williams -- Hodge, LA James Oran Williams, 54, of Hodge, LA was born June 18, 1946 in Jonesboro, LA and died Wednesday, January 31, 2001 at Jackson Parish Hospital. Funeral services were Saturday, February 3, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at Edmonds Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alton Peel, and Rev. Dwayne Boudreaux officiating. Burial was in Jonesboro Cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Mr. Williams was a machine tender at Smurfit- Stone Container. He was preceded in death by one son, Mark Williams and one brother, Arnold Mathews.
He is survived by: 1 daughter, Kristy Williams Baucom and husband Micah of Richmond, VA; 1 son, Thomas James Williams of Hodge, LA; 1 sister, LaRue Jones of Jonesboro; 1 brother, Armed Mathews of Jonesboro, LA; 1 brother-in-law, Chris Fontenot of Lake Charles, LA; 1 Step daughter, Crystal Phelps of Winnfield, LA; and 3 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: Van Beasley, DeLee Cavette, Charlie Sanders, Bobby Schmidt, Jimmy Tapp, and Bruce Whitman.
