Note: Dorotha Watts Dorotha Dottie May Watts passed away on May 11, 2014, at Sutter Lakeside Hospital in Lakeport, Calif., with her family at her side. She was 85. Per her request, there will be no services. She was born June 30, 1928, in Sand Springs, Okla., to Leslie and Velma Stephens. She married Charles Ellis Watts on Oct. 20, 1946. They were together for 55 years and raised three children in Albany, Calif. After the children were raised, Dottie went to work at Children's Hospital in Oakland for eight years. When Charlie was told he needed to quit work due to his health, she decided she would also and they spent the next 26 years together in retirement. He was the love of her life as she was his and she has missed him terribly since his death 12 years ago. She was an avid gardener and loved her plants. She could make anything grow and was said to have a "golden thumb." Before moving to Kelseyville, Calif,, she volunteered at the Senior Center in Grass Valley. She is survived by her sister, Thelma Guinn; brother David Stephens; son Frank (Shari); daughters Patricia (George) Estrella and Gayle (Ralph) Haskell; grandchildren Kristi, Darin, Lori, Anthony, Justin, Trapper and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Charles, her favorite aunt, Artie Scott; sister Ellen; brothers Elmer and Donnie; and grandson Mark. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in her name. Her final resting place will be Sierra Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
