Mrs. Edna Ima Barton, age 99 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, October 07, 2012. Born Tuesday, January 28, 1913 in Jonesboro, Louisiana, she was preceded in death by her Father, Willie White; Mother, Julie Ann White; Husband, James W. Barton; 3 Sons, Billy W. Barton, Roy W. Barton, and William E. Johnson; 5 Brothers, Alvin C. White, William O. White, Arlee White, Dewan White and Tommy L. White; Sister, Amma L. Deese; Grandson, Robert E. Johnson and 3 Granddaughters, Jackie M. Johnson, Janice E. Branch and Patricia A. Johnson. Those left to cherish her memory include her Son, Charles Barton and wife Linda of Winnfield, LA; Daughter, Annie Banta of Winnfield, LA; 16 Grandchildren; 33 Great Grandchildren; 62 Great-Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 09, 2012, at Southern Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM , and again on Wednesday, October 10, 2012, from 8:00 AM until time of services. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Southern Funeral Home with Rev. Huey White officiating. Interment will follow in Transport Cemetery, in Dodson. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Michael Barton, Steve Barton, Stephen Barton, Gary Banta, Mike Shumake. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy W.
