a. Note:   t 1 p.m. Friday at Salem Cemetery with Billy Don Garner officiating. Burial will be at Salem Cemetery under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home. Mr. Cobb died Wednesday at a Jacksonville hospital. He was born March 6, 1923 in Maydelle and was a resident of Rusk since 1948. He was a Baptist. Mr. Cobb was a welder with Brown & Root Construction Company for 25 years. He is a World War II veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include his wife, Gladis B. Cobb of Rusk; son and daughter-in-law, Gaylon and Eren Cobb of Azle; daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Brixey Lewis of Tyler; grandchildren, Austin and Garrett Cobb of Azle and Ryan and Jordan Lewis of Whitehouse; sisters, Ethel Hinch of Dialville, Jane Temple of Houston, Joy Glass of Dialville, and Mae Hanvy of Lufkin; and brothers, Glenn Cobb of Wooden, Bill Cobb of Rusk and Paul Cobb of Rusk. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Published Thursday, Aug. 1, 2002
