  From the book "Early Settlers of Ida, LA" by Gladys Means Loyd. On Aug 7, 1997, the book was researched by Dot Falkner Chamblee, a desc of Chesley Green Williams. A Civil War photo was found of Chesley Green Williams which gave is birth and death dates. The pook on page 523 also listed him as a teacher in 1888 in Ida, LA. It aslo stated that he had property of 320 acres, more or less, which he sold in 1893 to J.R. Chandler which included the Ida, LA site. The photo of him also noted that he came to Caddo Parish, LA in 1850 from Alabama; and that he married five times. Most of the info on his family was given by Miss Mary Williams, daughter of Rufus Walter Williams, Ida LA on Dec, 11, 1954. (From Sheila Johnson's Notes)
