Note: , June 16, 2015 at her residence. A graveside service will be held 4:00 P. M. on Saturday, June 20, 2015, at Chalkhead Baptist Church Cemetery in Ozark with Reverend Benjamin Johnson officiating. Interment will follow with Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing.
June was born on June 15, 1937 in Driskill, Louisiana to parents Trema Ollie and Ellis Burnet Alexander. She had lived in the Orange, Texas area since 1991, previously in Ozark where she was a member of Chalkhead Baptist Church in Ozark. June enjoyed quilting, sewing and cooking, especially her baked goods. She had worked as a secretary at Fort Rucker, Alabama and Concepts of Care of Orange. June was a loving person, who loved spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Travis E. Gunter; daughter, Tracey Gunter Harris; son, Norman Byrd; sister, Joan Burnett, Joy Mitchell.
June is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Ann Aznavour and husband, Gilles of Orange, TX; sister, Jèan Mills and husband, Bobby of Orange, TX; grandchildren, Jean-Pierre Aznavour, Seann Aznavour and numerous nieces and nephews.
