Note: e from an apparent heart attack. Memorial Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange with Pastor Larry Lormand of North Orange Baptist Church officiating. Graveside services will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Monday, March 9, at the funeral home. Joan was born on September 9, 1942, in Pelican, Louisiana, but has lived the last 57 years in Orange, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Ellis Alexander and Trema Driskill Alexander Gravett and her stepdad, Robert (Zeke) Gravett. Besides her parents, she was proceeded in death by her adored grandson, Corbin Burnett in 2002.Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of almost 50 years, Billy Burnett; her three sons, Dean Burnett; Deon Burnett & wife Cristy; and Faron Burnett & wife Amber; her two grandchildren, Colby & Bailee Burnett, and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of another in August. She also leaves behind her three sisters, Joy Mitchell; June Gunter; and Jean Mills & husband, Bobby; and numerous nieces, nephews & extended family and friends that loved her dearly, including her beloved pets, Q-tip & Yoda. Joan, or MawMaw, as we liked to call her, took great pride in taking care and spending time with her family and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Pallbearers are Dean Burnett, Deon Burnett, Faron Burnett, Colby Burnett, Bobby Mills, Troy Mills, Robert Fitzgerald & James Henkle.
