  SERGT. CLIFFORD CROSS McCLUNG, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. McClung of Italy. Entered the service in 1914 with the National Guards. With them saw service on Mexican border. Later trained at Camp bowie and was assigned to Company M., 141st Infantry, 36th Division. Sent overseas July, 1918. Attended O.T.S. Lyons, France. Discharged.

 Funeral services for Clifford C. McClung, 83, of No. 34 Mulberry, will be held in Corsicana later in the week. Kerrville Funeral Home was in charge of the local arrangements. He died Sunday in the Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital.
  Born in Waldo, Ark. Oct. 12,1895, he had lived here since 1965. He was a Baptist, veteran of World War 1 and a retired nurseryman, having owned and operated his nursery in Corsicana many years. Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. H. L. Turner and Mrs. Doris Baker, both of Houston and Mrs. Martha Rudder of Mexia; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Olga Terrell of Kerrville and Mrs. Rachel McWhirter of Abilene.
