(The names of her parents, Littleton Jackson Strawn and Ellen S. Holder don't match those listed above, but several particulars suggest this is the Josephine shown as their daughter on the 1880 census. Jackson died in Fannin County at the time Josie and her husband were living there---the Josie Benefield and Ellen Strawn families were listed in the same precinct within 4 pages of each other. In the 1900 census it is indicated Josie's father was born out of state and her mother was born in Texas. Kentucky was indicated as her father's birthplace, although he was actually from Georgia. Ellen was from Texas. Jackson's mother was Prudence and Josie's first child was Prudy. Jackson also had a sister named Nancy Ann. Her 3rd child was Monroe, a name shared by Jackson and Ellen's son Luther Monroe, who was closest in age to Josephine. Luther Monroe Strawn moved to Nueces County at about the same time Josie and her family were moving to neighoring San Patricio County. Josephine's son Homer was born in Delta County in 1906. Ellen was living in Delta County at that time. Additionally, the accuracy of the information supplied for the above certificate is thrown into question, because Josephine Winchester was born Jan. 1, 1878, or possibly 1879, but most certainly not 1870. Finally, I searched for a J. W. and Ann Nancy Strawn and couldn't find any couple with names and ages close enough to be a match.)
