Mark Atkins, 39, of Lumberton, died Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur. A native of Beaumont and having lived in the area most of his life, Mark worked for Echo Maintenance as a truck driver. Survivors include his sons, Alex Atkins and Alan Atkins, both of Lumberton, and Christopher Stroud, of LaPorte; grandmother, Mary Harrod, of Beaumont; brother, Kenneth Beaumont, of Beaumont; sister, Vickie Atkins, of Sour Lake; niece, Regina Beaumont Martin, of Lumberton; aunt, Sandy Watson, of Beaumont; uncle, Jerry Atkins, of Lumberton; brother-in-law, Brian Martin, of Silsbee; and girlfriend, Angela Abshire, of Lumberton. A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Leatherwood Cemetery in Lumberton under the direction of Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont.
