Note: ug. 6, 2002. He was born to Jefferson D. & Lillie Myrtle (Buckley) Yates, on Sept. 7, 1915, in Koran, LA. He served his country for over 20 years in the U.S. Marine Corp. He also retired from civil service at Tinker AFB. J.D. came to Del City in 1963 previously living in OKC. He belonged to the Nicoma Park Masonic Lodge 541. He was a Mason since 1943 becoming a K.C.C.H. and then a Shriner in 1980. He sat in the East of the Amaranth and sat in the East of the Eastern Star. He belonged to the VFW and was a member of the Aletheia Temple Pentecostal Holiness Church. J.D. married Pauline, on Oct. 30, 1976, in San Antonio, TX. He is survived by his wife, Pauline of the home; 2 daughters, Martha Jean Swanson & husband, Garry of Seguin, TX and Pat Spiller & husband, Bill of The Woodlands, TX; 2 stepsons, Dan Mackey & wife, Mendy of Norman and Bob Mackey & wife, Cindy of Moore; stepdaughter, Patricia Ann Segerland & husband, John of Alabama; 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; sister, Bessie Mae Gurley of OR; numerous nieces & nephews, and many other loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 4 sisters. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, 8/9/2002, at the Aletheia Temple Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial at Resthaven Cemetery in Okla. City. Barnes & Johnson F.H. 1820 S.
