Note: Daniel W. Yowell, Sr. Daniel Walthower Yowell, Sr., 86, of Boyce, Virginia, died Thursday, February 22, 2018 in the Blue
Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center, Winchester, Virginia. Mr. Yowell was born November 1, 1931 in
Boyce, Virginia, son of the late Frank P. Yowell and Mary Elizabeth Greenawalt Yowell. He was a mechanic at Boyce Garage. He served in the U. S. Air Force. Dan enjoyed many summers at the beaches with his family. He married Margie Lee Winchester Yowell on October 9, 1953 in Files
Valley, Texas. Surviving with his wife of 64 years, are sons, John Page Yowell of Waynesboro, VA, Mark Allen Yowell of Boyce, VA and Wayde Winchester Yowell of Winchester, VA; daughter, Julie Elizabeth Garlitz and her husband, Bob, of Stephenson, VA; and grandchildren, Eric Yowell, Amy Yowell and Kayleigh Williams. His son, Daniel Walthower Yowell, Jr., brother, Frank P. Yowell, Jr.
and sister, Mary Elizabeth Brown, all preceded him in death.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 A. M. Tuesday, February 27, 2018 in Green Hill Cemetery,
Berryville, VA with Rev. Harry G. Neidig III officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P. M. Monday evening at Enders & Shirley Funeral Home, Berryville, VA.
