Note: , of natural causes. Born October 15, 1942 in Shreveport, Louisiana she grew up and married in Southern California in 1963, residing in Huntington Beach until 1979, and lived most of her working life in Santa Cruz, California. She moved to Seabrook, Texas in December, 2005 to be close to her brother, Troy and sisters, Deborah and Belinda. Pearl worked for the County of Santa Cruz for almost 25 years in the Department of Environmental Health and more recently as a Planner in the Planning Department. Surviving are her ex-husband and dear friend, John H. Brunk of Santa Cruz, son, John D. Brunk of Santa Cruz , daughters, Robin Brunk of Clovis, Jackie Hicks of Merced and Gretchen Verdugo of Coto de Caza and six grand-children Stacey, Nicole, Ricky, Ariana, Brooke and Christian and one great-granchild, Julia, all residing in California. Pearl's great love was her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She was dear to all who were fortunate enough to have met her. Pearl also enjoyed photography, her animals and shopping. We will all miss our "Mommie Pearl". The memorial services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 7th, 2008 at Santa Cruz Memorial, Mission Chapel, 1927 Ocean Street Extension, Santa Cruz, California. Phone 831 426-1601.
