Note: 942 in St. Augustine and graduated from St. Augustine High School in 1960. Mr. Van Kirk worked at Fairchild Aircraft before joining the Air Force in 1961. He was married Alberta and had a daughter, Rhonda and a son, Bobby.
After completing four years in the Air Force, he worked for FPL for 35 years before retiring to Palm Coast. He was a current member of Moose Lodge 1263. Mr. Van Kirk was a kind and gentle man who loved his family and friends and was never too busy to lend a helping hand to a neighbor. He could always "fix it". Jerry loved to dance and had a great sense of humor. He is proceeded in death by Ethel Van Kirk (mother), Richard Van Kirk (father), Dickie Willis (sister), Virginia McKeen (sister), Don Van Kirk (brother), and Rhonda Kendrick (daughter). He holds a special place in the hearts of many friends and loved ones and will be missed. He is survived by his son Bobby (Danielle) Van Kirk, brothers Jan (Cindy) and Marshall Van Kirk, and sister Mae Van Kirk, multiple cousins, nieces, and nephews.
There will be a viewing on Saturday, May 12th at 1:00 p.m. with a service at 2:00 p.m. at Craig Funeral Home. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.
