Note: Obituary for Rhonda Van Kirk Kendrick Rhonda Van Kirk Kendrick, 56, of Saint Augustine, Florida passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, April 24th 2018. She was born in Warner Robbins, Georgia on January 30th, 1962, grew up in St. Augustine, and graduated from St. Augustine High in 1980. She moved to West Palm Beach, Florida in 1983 and recently returned to her home town of St. Augustine.
Rhonda was a beloved wife, aunt, sister, daughter, niece, cousin, and friend. She touched so many lives with her bright, contagious smile, loving heart, and beautiful soul. She loved people, birds, animals, and nature and will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and compassion for others as she faithfully cared for people.
Rhonda is survived by her husband, Emmitt (Ben) Kendrick of over 25 years, mother Alberta Griggs, brother Bobby Van Kirk and his wife, Danielle; brother-in-law Patrick Kendrick, sisters-in-law Olivia Kendrick and Teresa Payne, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and many friends. Her father,Jerry Van Kirk, passed away shortly after Rhonda on May 3, 2018.
The Celebration of Rhonda’s life will be held on Saturday, May 5th, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Craig Funeral Home in Saint Augustine, Florida, and a gathering of friends and family to follow after wards at the St. Augustine Shrine Club.
Memorial donations may be made to the St. Augustine Humane Society or SAFE Pet Rescue, American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, and the Shriner Children's Hospitals.
