a. Note:   y "Will" Howerton and Opal Pearl (Sisco) Howerton. His parents preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a brother, William Terry Howerton.
  David was an expert with anything mechanical. He loved automotive work and made it his career. David worked in the automotive world for over 50 years. He worked for William Roland for the past 16 years doing auto body work. David's favorite place to be was outside cutting and clearing brush or in his shop fixing up old cars. His family was his greatest love. He loved spending time with his children telling them stories of past times and teaching them about life. David lived an honorable life and was a hero to many.
  SURVIVORS INCLUDE: one son, Kenneth Howerton and wife, Heather of Bogata, TX; one daughter, Tabatha Clark of Detroit, TX; one sister, Virgie Fair and husband, Doug of Lubbock, TX; grandchildren, Krisha Ann Rosson, Mark Allums, Hunter Clark and Gillian Howerton; great grandchildren, Tristan Rosson and Avery Rosson along with many other relatives and friends.
  VISITATION: the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home, 410 South "F" Street, Hugo, OK 74743
