U.S. Veteran Joe Williams, Jr. was born February 19, 1939 to Joe and Emma Alice (Duncan) Williams in Antlers, Oklahoma. He passed from this life May 5, 2009 in Antlers, Oklahoma at the age of 70.
Joe married Betty Sue Nowell in Hugo, Oklahoma on December 25, 1962. He was a self-employed contractor who lived in Antlers for his entire life. Joe's interests included hunting, fishing, restoring old cars, watching NASCAR, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Joe & Emma Williams; and his grandparents: Ace & Tina Duncan and Frank & Rosene Williams.
Joe is survived by his wife of 46 years: Betty Sue of Antlers; his children: Tammy Williams Davidson of Paris, Texas, Rocky Joe Williams of Cabot, Arkansas, & Jamie Eric Williams of Antlers, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Brittani Davidson, Tanner Davidson, Zane Williams, Harlie Nicole Williams, Jacob Joe Williams, & Lindie Sue Williams; a brother: Leon Williams of Antlers, Oklahoma; and three sisters: Priscilla Brents of Antlers, Oklahoma, Phyllis Nowell of Antlers, Oklahoma, & Pamella Eastep of Atoka, Oklahoma; as well as many other relatives and friends.
