Leamons, Arkadelphia, graduate of Vaden HS, entered the Navy 4-27-45, trained at San Diego, CA. Medical discharge 6-7-45. Paul Leamons Published: 08/08/2011 Leamons, Paul Everett Leamons, 84, of Camden, departed his earthly life Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011, at the Ouachita Nursing & Rehab Center. He was born on April 11, 1927, in Vaden. He was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church. He was retired from International Paper Company after approximately 40 years of service. He was in the U.S. Army, and served in Germany. He loved to hunt and fish. He was a 50-year member of the Malvern-Camden Hunting Club and the Boiling Pot Association He was predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Nellie (Langley) Leamons; brothers, Forrest (Ginny), Glen, and Doyle (Leona); sister, Beth Leamons; and first wife, Jeanette Ross Leamons. He is survived by his wife, Betty Leamons of Camden; brother, Burl Leamons (Charlene) of Camden; sister-in-law, Katharine Leamons of Fayetteville, N.C.; step-children, James Elliott (Kim) of Keithville, La. and Kathy Daniel (Rick) of Camden; step-grandchildren, Kristina Covington and Donnie Betts (Chris); great-grandchildren, Charle Covington, Lexi Betts, and Michael Betts, all of Camden; nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends. Proctor Funeral Home of Camden is in charge of arrangements. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Fairview United Methodist Church with the Rev. Pam Brulé officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
