Burial will be at 3 p.m. in the Childress Cemetery at Childress by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Cannon was born in Dike. She attended school at Whites Creek. She married Eugene Cannon in 1949 at Quanah. He preceded her in death in 1996. She retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone after 28 years of service. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and a longtime member of North Amarillo Church of Christ. Survivors include two sons, Donald Dawson of Amarillo and Gene A. Cannon of Panhandle; five sisters, Eva Todd of Childress, Fay Weatherbee of Pampa, Pearl Taylor of Silver City, N.M., Jeanette Caines of El Paso and Joyce Phipps of Pampa; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
