Note: rthouse, Virginia when Lee surrendered, having served throughout the war except for the first few months. He served in Co. C, 9th Louisiana Infantry, CSA; enlisted July 7, 1861. His record is documented in his widow's Confederate Pension Application. The Louisiana 9th Infantry among those referred to as "Jackson's Foot Cavalry" and "Lee's Tigers". John belonged to Company C, Bienville Blues, Bienville Parish, Louisiana.
