THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 1 Jun 1989. 'William Clarence Reid, 70, 1015 E. Ikard, Henrietta, Texas, formerly of Paris, died Sunday, 28 May 1989, in Henrietta Care Center. Services were held Wednesday, 31 May, at 2 p.m. in Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Wilbur Simmons officiating. Burial was in Meadowbrook Cemetery. Mr. Reid was born 23 Jul 1918, in Bogata, a son of John Thomas and Etta Victoria Barnett Reid. He married Bernice M. Kindle on 24 Dec 1945, in Paris. He served in the Army during World War II, receiving a Purple Heart.
