James A Bull and his family came to Simmons after 1930. James A Bull died at his home in 1935. He died of pellagra, not having seen a doctor. Since pellagra is a dietary deficiency disease that takes a long time to develop, it may be inferred that he and his family were destitute and could not provide themselves with a normal diet. No one I know remembers the family nor knows where they lived. This must be called a tragic situation in the community for something like this to have happened. It is known that his wife Mary Elizabeth Hickey Bull was with him at his death and reported the death. The family moved away after his death. -------------------------
